Hey everyone!
I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!
My choices are:
1. UofT
2. McMaster
3. Nipissing SPP
I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.
I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:
1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine. This satisfies all 3 unis
2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto. I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.
I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.
It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.

Apparently I have to take human anatomy again but I received a grade of A- in Kinesiol 1AA3 from McMaster. I was only expecting to take microbio and pathophys, not anatomy. Is anyone else in a similar situation? Did anyone NOT have to take anatomy for prep semester and what was your course code equivalency from your school?
If you took both anatomy courses (1A03/ 2Y03 and 1AA3/2YY3) I don't see why you would have to take anatomy again, since taking both encompasses a full credit in anatomy and physiology

The only reason why I think I would have to take human anatomy again is because I only got a B- on 1A03 but an A- on 1AA3. But I assumed they only wanted to look at 1 human anatomy course to fulfill the requirement of 74%. They didn't specify which anatomy would be taken into consideration and I thought they only wanted one course of anatomy on the website. ?

What is a deferral letter? Did they email this to you? Or was it posted on student centre?

I would email or call Humber to let them know! I don't see why you would need to retake anatomy.

Hey! I'm not an international student per se but I do have my bachelor's degree from the Philippines. My transcript arrived late (Feb 8th) although I requested back in December. Hoping that wouldn't affect my application ? I submitted everything else on time.

I wonder if this letter means that our casper scores are fine and they only need to see our final grades to make a decision? Did everyone who hasn't been accepted into Western yet receive this letter?

I just got the email today as to which courses I would have to take. I got a conditional offer around March 24. I haven't accepted the offer, I plan on waiting to hear back from other schools before.

Such good advice! I second the notion that UofT is very holistic when it comes to assessing applicants. My last 2 years GPA was around 3.3 when I applied last year and I got waitlisted. Another university that is holistic is Queen's as I got in this year without the highest of grades. ?
