Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2021

Published

Hey everyone!

I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!

My choices are:

1. UofT

2. McMaster

3. Nipissing SPP

I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.

I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:

1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine.  This satisfies all 3 unis

2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto.  I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.

I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.

It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.

Just checked my U of T portal , got rejected , it says refused admission .

I'm so sorry to hear, I hope you get into a different school! Best of luck, don't lose hope.

Would you mind sharing your final year GPA?

Im sorry to hear from those who got rejections from UofT today ?

I do wonder if they’re only releasing rejections today or acceptances as well.

For those who got admitted to Western University do you mind sharing your GPA, I am still on the waiting list and I have a GPA of 3.93/4.3 for my last two years and a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and haven't heard back yet ?

Hey everyone!

Congrats to those how have received acceptances, and for those who haven't, theres still time don't worry!

I'm currently debating between York and Western 2nd entry programs and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the pros/cons of both, or any information they know about either of these programs! I'm specifically interested in global health nursing, so if anyone knows anything about their programs in relation to that it would be super helpful!

Thank you! Best of luck to everyone ?

I got into Western with a 3.92/4.0 for my last 2 years  and didn't accept it.

3.81 last two years. 3.5 cgpa.

I also went to queens.

Anyone know of uoft students getting acceptance in June really?

also, if you think they are sending rejections during the week now?

New here! I am still waiting on U of T, and waitlisted at Nippissing. Got rejected from Western it said "below requirements" does anyone know if that means my grades didn't meet the cut off, or if perhaps I missed something in the requirements?

Holding out hope for U of T still says "Application Received". Kicking myself for not applying to McMaster ? I didn't think I had the requirements, but I do!

Hi! Do you mind sharing what your GPA was for your final 2 years?

Does anybody know if McMaster’s admission requirements are based on a 4.0 GPA scale or a 5.0 scale?

If your grades were high enough it might be referring to how you did on the Casper?

I was thinking that, but then I feel like I would have just been rejected from Nippissing?
