Hey everyone!
I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!
My choices are:
1. UofT
2. McMaster
3. Nipissing SPP
I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.
I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:
1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine. This satisfies all 3 unis
2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto. I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.
I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.
It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.

Humber's program seems great but it wasn't my top choice. On the weekend got accepted to my number 1 which was Mac and I plan to go there ?

McMaster!

Queen's and Western to my understanding have smaller programs compared to other accelerated programs, so don't get too discouraged. Where did you apply and where are you still waiting on?

no, but we can create one
The UofT PA program is insanely competitive (pretty much all PA programs are right now because they're small programs with high demand in the cities - especially hospitals), unfortunately a 3.7 likely won't get you in unless you've got stellar ECs and great references. Try to stay patient for nursing! I know waiting is awful, it's so incredibly frustrating to be already into June and not having an idea of where you're going and where you stand with your applications ?

Did anyone else receive a conditional offer decision that states "Proof of graduation and/or prerequisite(s)"? I already finished my prereqs so I have no clue why this is written.
I will be declining Western and Humber so there will be more spots opening up on the waitlist.
Same here! Have you tried emailing Nipissing? I've sent a few emails regarding this issue but I have not received a response. They already have my final transcript so I'm not sure why on Webadvisor it says "Final transcript - submit by deadline".

Nipissing rejected me without even waiting for my final mark, I reached out to admissions about it but they haven’t gotten back to me yet. On their website it says you need to submit your final marks before June 30.

Hey yeah I had the same thing in my offer. At my uni the conferral of the degree is shown on the transcript eventually after a certain date so I'll be sending my transcript in again after that date has passed before the June 30th deadline Nipissing gave.
Hello guys! I'm currently entering my 3rd year of undergrad. I have a few questions for those who received an acceptance from Mac or York.
1) Has anyone received an acceptance without a completed degree?
2) If you have, what was your GPA and how did you feel after writing the CASPer?
Feel free to ignore this if you do not feel comfortable sharing.
I also heard the York is getting rid of the CASPer - meaning GPA will be the only thing considered correct? how do you guys feel about this? Personally, I'm a little scared :( I am not sure what will be viewed as "competitive"
Btw, I am looking to apply next cycle. My GPA is currently a 3.7. I hope you guys don't mind me popping up on this forum even though I have not applied for FALL 2021!

I am in my last semester right now and I got conditional offer from York back in February. I was also doing one of their prerequisite (Microbiology) at that time. After my Fall semester, my last 10 courses GPA was 3.74/4.00. For CASper, I am not confident with my performance because some of my answer was incomplete due to my typing skill. I am not sure how they weight CASper score tbh.

That is very high. You'll highly likely get in off the wait list.
