Hey everyone!
I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!
My choices are:
1. UofT
2. McMaster
3. Nipissing SPP
I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.
I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:
1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine. This satisfies all 3 unis
2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto. I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.
I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.
It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.
Hi, can anyone inform if there is any separate thread/s here to discuss prereqs for accelerated programs? Particularly looking how people fulfilled the biochem prerequisite requirement for Mac if they didn’t study it before? Really appreciate it if someone can provide information on either of the above!!

They give you a form to fill out when you apply which makes you indicate what course you have that meets their requirements.
Biochem is not an explicit requirement. It is 6 units in any of the following courses: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Kinesiology.
I used a first year bio course, and a Microbiology bird course I took in second year.
I was just waitlisted for Western University and I'm extremely stressed. I was rejected by Nipissing, Queens, Mcmaster, and UofT. I have a 3.7 GPA and was in the process of completing a Psychology course but wasn't granted conditional acceptance. I don't know if there is any hope of getting in this year ?

Hi, thank you! Did you take these courses separately through online delivery or would you know if they are available to take online anywhere? struggling to find any biochem courses. Ryerson has been pretty good on it but they don’t have these in particular online.

Both my biology and Microbiology courses were taken separately online at Queen's.
It seems unlikely that Ryerson does not have online first year biology or Chemistry you could take. But assuming that is true you could check out Athabasca U. It's an online University but lots of people use it to meet prereqs.

Thanks a lot! I'll double check Ryerson as well. I am not able to PM you though.

Hey don’t feel down there’s still time and more seats are being added to most of the programs for 2021. I haven’t heard back from Western yet and I am also extremely worried. Was your average for the last 10 courses 3.7 or was that your last 5 courses?

Hang in there, don’t lose hope!! A lot of peoples rejections turned into acceptances since the programs got funding for additional seats. Also, you got rejected by UofT? I thought they send them out on June 30th

Hey ?
I actually emailed them about this. They said the following:
"BScN decisions are issued on an on-going basis to all official applicants who completed the 2-step application process. All applicants will hear from us by June 30. The possible outcomes are admit, reject or waitlisted"
From my experience last year, I was waitlisted on the last Friday, it was June 26 2020.
I hope this helps ☺️

Not sure about Mac, but UofT has been following that trend for a few years now from what I've heard.
