Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2021

Published

Hey everyone!

I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!

My choices are:

1. UofT

2. McMaster

3. Nipissing SPP

I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.

I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:

1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine.  This satisfies all 3 unis

2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto.  I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.

I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.

It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.

Has anyone got into Alberta ? What was your GPA ? I completed my application along with final transcripts in January but it is still under review .

Hopefully loads of good news from UofT today! ❤️❤️❤️

Hang in there! Also, for fun, I added a photo in my profile. ?

Does anyone else’s JoinUofT still say application received? For those who got accepted did your app say anything else before you received your offer? My McMaster application still says pending. I’m getting nervous

Mine is also pending and I'm like bruh is this in alphabetical order or smth haha but from what I've read - mosaic gets updated after an email is sent

Yep my Join UofT still says just "application received". I think others have confirmed that it'll say either "rejected" or "admitted" and then maybe "waitlist" when we reach the end of the admissions cycle. The waiting is killing me!

Hello everyone ! Just wondering how often does U of T send out their offers ? Is it true it’s every Friday ? Thank you for checking !

It's certainly speculation that it's every Friday, since last week I don't think many (if any) got news.

Hi everyone! Congratulations to everyone for their acceptances, and good luck to those still waiting to hear back!

For those who have accepted mac, I thought it would be a good idea to make an unofficial facebook group to interact with each other in the coming months before September starts.

The name of the facebook group is 'McMaster University Accelerated Nursing Class of 2023'.

Yes fingers crossed ?

Thank you for getting back so quickly!

Anyone else taking prereqs and waiting to hear from UofT? My portal still says "Application Received."

I have my AP finals on Monday and hoping to submit transcript by May 31. I'm nervous I won't have a good enough mark to get in.
