Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2021

Published

Hey everyone!

I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!

My choices are:

1. UofT

2. McMaster

3. Nipissing SPP

I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.

I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:

1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine.  This satisfies all 3 unis

2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto.  I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.

I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.

It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.

I wrote my Casper in Feb but  I'm still waiting to hear back from York. My application just says under consideration.

Anyone else feeling nervous about McMaster? My application is still pending and it’s making me wonder when I’ll hear back about anything at all ?

I wrote my CASPer on Feb 11th and received an offer of admission from York on April 30th. I don't think the day you wrote your CASPer plays a role in admissions.

There is still time, its not over yet. Recent mac admits are given till the 29th to accept, and not everyone will accept. For instance, I am mostly likely going to go with western if I get in, so a spot may open up at mac.

Officially accepted McMaster, which also means someone on the Queens waitlisted is getting in! There  should also be another spot available Nipissing soon (my offer expires next week - I forgot to cancel it when I switched from Queens to McMaster but I’ll go in as soon as OUAC unlocks). Good luck everyone!

I know the acceptance letter from Mac said they were doing an official discord eventually, does anyone know if someone has also made a facebook group or anything for McMaster?

Congrats!! OMG I'm dyyinnnngggg to get off the Queens waitlist!

Hey everyone! I just spoke to Western Admissions and for those of you waiting here's what they said: Applicants who have submitted their final transcripts by May 24th can anticipate hearing a decision on or before June 1st.  In this round, we will notify all students with all documents processed if they have been offered admission, waitlisted, or denied to the program. If you have not heard from us by June 15th, please feel free to contact us back at that time. Once a decision has been made with regards to your application, you will be notified by email to check your Student Center.

Hope these eases some of the anticipation a bit ?
