Hey everyone!
I haven't seen a post for Fall 2021 yet so here it is!
My choices are:
1. UofT
2. McMaster
3. Nipissing SPP
I started my OUAC application in November and now trying to work on the supplemental packages. My CASPer Test is on January 12, 2021.
I need to take Anatomy and Physio course(s) however, I'm having a hard time figuring out what would satisfy the requirements from all three universities. My options so far are:
1. Take CBLG 101 in Winter and CBLG 111 in Spring at Ryerson. However final grade will be in June; hoping that's fine. This satisfies all 3 unis
2. Take SCS 2159 in Winter from UofT which is enough for UofT and McMaster but not for Nipissing. I have to take an Anatomy course just for Nip.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from back home, been working as an RECE in Toronto the last 8 years, have a Diploma in Nonprofit Management at Ryerson. My cGPA is 3.55 which I'm worried about. Lots of extra curricular activities from university and volunteering here in Toronto. I still have to compute the GPA for the last two years.
I requested WES to send my transcripts to Nip and McMaster and asked my old uni to send to UofT.
It's been an expensive application so far; really hoping I get in! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing our experiences.

I had this as well! My letter showed up on Mosaic after about 24 hours (of total panic LOL). My conditions were just to send proof of degree conferred from where I did my undergrad - actually my letter said a degree from a university I didn’t attend and I got to be stressed for a bit longer but turns out it was a mistake. I don’t believe they ever actually emailed me the letter, I just kept checking Mosaic.
Hang in there!

Okay phew thanks so much!! I also have one more question, I will not have completed my degree before entering this program! An undergrad degree isn't necessary right? Just preferred?
Hi everyone, first time poster here. I received an offer from Mac today for accelerated nursing. GPA was 3.8/4.0 for last 2 years, and 3.5 out of 4.3 for cumulative. I thought I did pretty terrible on casper to be honest, so I'm happy with getting in.
Queen's - waitlisted
Western - Still waiting.
Good luck to anyone still waiting. There is still time!

They do! I think someone may have posted a quick run down of what clinical looks like in first year, but I can also share here!
I believe traditionally in first semester, half the semester was a geriatrics placement and the other half was maternity. However, due to covid this year, our first semester was either a mental health or geriatrics placement (not both). But we were still able to start right from September! We also had an in-person lab that ran once every two weeks in first semester (although I'm not sure how this compares this previous years).
In second semester, we have three rotations: pediatrics, acute adult care (I.e. general surgery, general medicine), and maternity (or more specifically, postpartum). And no labs.
I think under normal circumstances, the traditional schedule for first year has been: lectures + labs from Monday to Wednesday and then clinicals twice a week on Thursday and Friday.
If anyone has any other questions, let me know - I'd be happy to answer them ?
I heard that the program is very theory-based, which is something I'm a bit worried about. How was your experience with this? Would you say the workload overall is manageable?
