I am currently a third year York University student hoping to apply for second entry nursing at York
only next year (yes I am going through the strike).
Since applications open in November, I thought it would be best to get this forum started. I am hoping to get more insight into the program and I hope current and past nursing students would share their views on the program and how job searching went. Also, what nursing specialties do most York nursing graduates enter as I am hoping to get into public health. Furthermore, share your insights on Humber, McMaster, U of T, Trent, Queens, Western, Ottawa and Nippissing. (I think that is all) and don't forget to include your acceptance GPAs.

I referred back to the 2018 forum and someone there said that once you're offered a place, they will send you the log in information.
is there a facebook group for york 2nd-entry nursing? also congrats to everyone who was accepted into the school of their choice!! for those who have not received admission, its ok- I have been in your shoes. Take courses to help with your GPA & re-apply. good luck! ?
Hey everyone, apologies for repeating but has anyone heard anything from Bloomberg regarding further waitlist steps? Just getting a little bit anxious because from last year's forum people we're hearing back about their waitlist rank by now lol. Best of luck to all of you!
I havent heard anything back from bloomberg yet other than that I was waitlisted. I am currently finishing my immunizations and CPR level C this week. The email said wed know more by Aug 15th

Yeah, I'm finishing up all of those too. It's just strange because they want us to complete all of those before August 15th yet they haven't released any info regarding our status. The timeline's really keeping everyone on their toes haha ?

I got an email this week saying I'm in the top 10 waitlisted candidates, and to email them if I expect to be done the preparedness permit by Aug 15. Last year I just got an email saying I was ranked in Group 2 of 3 so I don't know if this is a new process this year...

I actually heard back from them (Bloomberg) on Monday. I was offered a spot and I accepted it! To all those still in the waitlist, don't lose hope! It was honestly so unexpected, but this proves that there's still a chance for you to get off the waitlist!
I previously accepted Mac's offer but I will be notifying them soon about my withdrawal of my acceptance. That should open up a spot for Mac if anyone is waiting for them ?
