Hello Everyone,
I am currently a third year York University student hoping to apply for second entry nursing at York
only next year (yes I am going through the strike).
Since applications open in November, I thought it would be best to get this forum started. I am hoping to get more insight into the program and I hope current and past nursing students would share their views on the program and how job searching went. Also, what nursing specialties do most York nursing graduates enter as I am hoping to get into public health. Furthermore, share your insights on Humber, McMaster, U of T, Trent, Queens, Western, Ottawa and Nippissing. (I think that is all) and don't forget to include your acceptance GPAs.

Thank you! Uoft, Western, & Queens - McMaster is just a 10 minute bus ride from my home and I did my undergrad here, so it would save me a lot of $$ to do nursing at mac + I'm familiar with the hospitals through volunteering/research as well as the school! McMaster has great research opportunities as well. The placements McMaster offers are great, the school has amazing support services, and I don't mind PBL too much. Hamilton itself is a lovely city, Westdale (where the university is) is a really cute area that feels very warm and close-knit and McMaster is neither too big or too small! I wouldn't really say its a commuter school either, so a lot of the students live in the city/westdale from what I've experienced which is always great ?

Congrats!!! I applied to trent but my application says still evaluating :( just curious - have you submitted your final transcript already? or did it say your offer was conditional? MyTrent says that I have to submit it, but I haven't finished all my classes just yet. So I was just wondering if that is a factor! Thanks :)

Same - and then don’t forget that you have to accept the offer on OUAC and that shows up a few days after the join.utoronto.ca one (this might be obvious to everyone else but I have never used OUAC before).
