I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?
Good luck to all!
There's still lots of time! I know they accept into the summer :) what's your average?
Hahaha im sorry im probably so annoying on here always writing about this! My average is only an 80 in my last 2 years :/ I know people have been accepted with that and lower but the fact I haven't yet makes me wonder about my casper...
I'll be starting the Western compressed program in September, and I currently go to Western, so I've talked a lot to the CTF nursing advisor. I wouldn't worry too much! I was told that the bulk of acceptances do go out at the end of May, but there will still be some waitlist spots (there were last year anyway). She said some people got off the waitlist as late as August! If your grades are competitive I see no reason why you don't have a shot even if your marks come in late!
Thanks for your words of encouragement! I was told today that their next round of offers will go out May 31st so I am keeping my fingers crossed that my transcript goes out before then! But I can be patient and wait as long as needed if I get in haha, Western is my first choice so hopefully I will see you there in September!
I think it just means that it is a second degree for you (do you already have a degree?). If you look at your offer on OUAC does it say BASACC (basic accelerated)? I was confused too because it offered me an alternative offer of MSD (instead MNA - which I applied for). If you look at the offer letter on Mosaic it will say what program you were accepted into. For example: Nursing (Basic Accelerated) 3. I hope you get into the program you want!

Yeah it's the MSD one, it says above level one so maybe it's 3 years? I really want to call admissions but it's a holiday tomorrow:(
It sounds like the accelerated program to me.
This is what it says for me on the OUAC website:
McMaster University
Second Degree (Above Level I)
2018 Fall (September)
Co-op: No
On Mosaic it says: PROGRAM: Nursing (Basic Accelerated) 3
(Beside the green check mark is the "Offer Letters" Section. If you click on the "View Admissions Conditions" link, you will see your Offer of Admission and it will list your program).

My ouac says the exact same, I applied for the basic 4 year at mac though (didn't have a Biochem course) so I was just confused if it was the 2 year or not, I feel like above level 1 is a condensed program (maybe not 2 years) but I was just curious
I'm shocked I even got into mac, probably accepting it either way just based on the PBL format and everything:)
