Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2018

World Canada CA Programs

Published

I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?

Good luck to all!

It says "Accepted"!

So it went straight from "Application Recieved" to "Accepted"? I'm asking because I haven't gotten accepted and my status is still "Application Recieved" so I'm worried they still haven't reviewed my application :s

Same. Like how does this work? Did all the offers go out in April or something and anything after that roll out when people start to decline offers? I feel like in April tons of people were posting daily about their acceptance.

Mine says 'Admitted' on the Join U of T home page and when I click under Status, where it used to say Application Status: Application Received it now says Admitted. I'm not sure if this applies to you but my status was marked as Application Received until earlier this week when I sent in my final transcripts with all of my final grades (as I completed a couple of the pre-reqs in my last semester). I hope this helps!

I can't remember but has anyone been given a conditional offer so far if they haven't yet finished some of the pre-req courses?

I just got accepted to Trent's Compressed Program today!

Just received an acceptance to Mcmaster! Does anyone know if there is a facebook group yet? Looking for a place to stay!

Hi! I read earlier about there being a class of 2020 page for UofT Nursing... But I completely lost it! Could someone tell me the name of the page? Thanks so much!

Search Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing (U of T) - Class of 2020 on Facebook, it should bring you there! :)

Congrats! Are you planning on going to Trent in the fall? I got accepted a while back but haven't heard anyone in the forum confirm they are going there in the fall. It would be nice to get to know some people before school starts :)

Somebody should start a Facebook group :) I would but I'm not very good with technology haha

For those going to Trent in the Fall, I started a facebook group for those in the compressed program. The group is called Trent University-Compressed Nursing 2018-2020

Is there a facebook page for students accepted to Queen's nursing?

Hopefully this answers NootNootPenguin's question as well as Stari3's (sorry I don't know how to tag you two).

Once I had first been e-mailed my acceptance notification from UofT, it took:

- about a day and a half for my JoinUofT portal to go from "application received" to "accepted" and be updated with the actual PDF offer (it was a conditional offer, for those asking if conditional offers were sent out)

- four days after I received the initial acceptance e-mail (three days after my JoinUofT offer appeared) the offer appeared on my OUAC and was available to accept

- two-three days after I accepted on OUAC, my JointUofT portal changed from "accepted" to "offer accepted"

As a side note: while UofT has been sending out rolling acceptances, from what I've heard on this forum in previous pages, it sounds as if many of the schools send out a big wave of acceptances once the final transcripts have been received.

Hope this helps!
