I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?
Good luck to all!
Do you mind if I ask what your GPA for your last 2 years are? I'm still waiting on Humber as well, but mine still says No Decision.
Odd, some people are waitlisted like myself, and some have 'no decision' for humber. Do you mind sharing your gpa? Being on the waitlist could just mean a polite way to reject OR they base the waitlist position on GPA ranking from highest to lowest.

I'm in the same position; 'no decision.' I'm worried about what this means in terms of acceptance...
Nah no school cares about giving polite rejections, its all business. I'm pretty sure they waitlist an X amount of people depending on their marks and whether they applied on time or missed the deadline. I read on a different nursing forum that they move you up on the waitlist depending on the semester 2 grades you got (that is if you got waitlisted in the first place). If your application status says ''no decision, that can simply mean that they havn't gotten to your application yet.
Hi All!I was recently accepted to Queen's AST!
I was wondering if anyone could clarify the conditional admission statement: it says I must achieve a minimum GPA of 2.7 and successfully complete all courses I am enrolled in. Does this mean my semester GPA must be 2.7 or my cGPA? Not that I am worried at all about hitting a 2.7 but some clarification would be ideal!
Congrats to everyone getting accepted!
Congrats on getting accepted, I will probably see you there next year!
I asked Queen's, they want a 2.7 for your final year which is ~70% I believe, so unless you really stop trying you should be okay!
Hi Guys,I've been stalking this forum for awhile and decided to join.
I was also accepted into York's 2nd Entry Program (I never tried anywhere else as other schools were too far from home). I'm excited to meet fellow York Students at the Orientation day on september.
If anyone is losing hoping that they haven't been accepted yet, don't lose hope because I read through the forums and saw many people saying their GPA averages was at 3.7+ and above. In terms of my grades I did not have the best, roughly its at 3.0 or probably around 2.90 (not that competitive right, but still managed to get accepted). I don't have any extracurricular activities under my belt. All I did was casper test (which I don't even know my result but probably did well on it to boost my chances on getting accepted). The only thing I think that might have helped my application is applying as a mature student.
For those waiting to hear a reply from their chosen schools, I wish you all the best. Once again, don't lose hope because if someone like me with not such a competitive GPA got in, those people with higher averages still have great chance.
If I don't end up getting into Western maybe I'll see you at York! :)
I know it's too early to be freaking out and stuff but I can't help but start freaking out regardless.I applied to Western, Queens and UofT with a 3.95 in my last 2 years and only got Western so far.
I don't mind if I don't hear back from Queens but UofT is my top choice!
This post is largely irrelevant but I just felt the compulsion to release some nervous energy
You got into Western nursing? Would you be able to tell me what your average (in %) for the last 2 years was?

Not sure if you were referring to me!
If you were, my GPA for the last two years is around 3.5 (had one rough semester in second year). My overall cGPA is around a 3.65 and my ECs include volunteering in a hospital, shadowing/volunteering in a clinic, research, and being on a few exec teams at school.
Best of luck!
