I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?
Good luck to all!
hey, if you don't have one of the pre-req for york, do you think its possible they will still except you if you have a 4.0/4.0 GPA? AND be able to finish the pre-req in york after being accepted because im graduating this summer.
Would email then directly
Some schools are flexible where others have a 0 tolerance policy, no pre reqs, no acceptance
I hope it works out for you
Hey I've seen this on their FAQs
9. I am missing one or two prerequisites. Will my application be considered if I indicate my intention to complete the requirements over the summer?
Applications should be submitted by the deadline date with all prerequisite courses completed. If you are missing prerequisites at the time of application, send proof of enrolment, and you may be conditionally admitted. Final transcripts for missing prerequisite courses need to be submitted immediately after completion. Prerequisite courses cannot be completed concurrently while enrolled in the 2nd entry BScN program at York.
Here's the link: 400 Bad Request
I would still recommend emailing them to get the most updated information and clarify anything else.
Hey guys. Do you think a 3.45 GPA in my final year of university will be enough to get me into a compressed program? I applied to 10 programs in total (compressed and normal length).
Depends on the programs, I had a 3.41 and got into queens! Trent is a 78% average, which is about 3.1 or something?

Someone said earlier in the forum that they called Western to ask this question and they were told that the bulk of admissions are sent out end of May (when final grades have been received). I also believe Western has started sending out admissions, but very few to people with super high averages.
