Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2018

Published

I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?

Good luck to all!

Hi!

Does anyone know the deadline for trent as to when we have to submit our high school transcripts?

Thanks!

You have until the end of July. They must be submitted by August!

Thank you so much!

Hello stari3,

My last ten credits came up to a B+ on the York grading scale (75-80%). I know that's not considered a lot of this forum, but I also had some volunteer experience, research experience, and a fair amount of PSW experience, so I think they took that into consideration. Oh and also I had already completed my undergrad program.

If you have any other questions Id be happy to help.

Hello Everyone,

I just got accepted to Queen's. So excited! I had to login to Ouac to see it, I haven't received anything in the mail yet or have any other information detailing the conditions of my acceptance. Anyone else have the same issue?

got accepted in mid feb. nothing in the mail yet :( in the email it says you need to finish your year with a 70% overall (2.7 GPA) check your junk or "other" folder in the email you provided them, mine wasn't in my normal inbox

Congrats JP2792! Would you mind sharing your GPA and such? I'm also hoping to get accepted to york but haven't heard anything yet :(

My friend who got accepted last year for York told me she got her acceptance at the end of April / beginning of May.

Thanks sfeather! My cumulative GPA for my entire degree and my GPA for my last 10 credits are 3.7. I was surprised by how early i got my acceptance.

I applied to Trent, McMaster and Western but i haven't heard from any of them. I feel like i might not get into any one.

Has anyone's UofT Join webpage changed from "application received" to anything else? or has it been made noted that they have received your transcript? I'm an internal applicant and my Utor ID page has remained the same.

Don't get down, I know that all of these schools send most of their acceptances later on (April-May) :) stay positive you never know what will happen!

I'm an internal applicant too and I had the same concern so I emailed them and they said they would just take the transcript from ROSI themselves. So I am assuming we don't have to worry about them receiving our transcripts. My application status says "Application Received" as well so not to worry :)

I really appreciate your answer! Thank you =) what a relief!
