I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?
Good luck to all!
Hey! this is the same with my account, i noticed it about 2 weeks ago though. So i'm not sure what it means. Probably that they wait for everyones final transcript before they make a decision?
Unfortunately no, they have already offered a first round of acceptance, the deadline for those to accept is April 20. After that I would imagine they may factor your final marks in for the decision of those on the waitlist so finish strong :)
Best of luck
Whoops someone already answered this. How do I delete a comment?
Did anyone notice on Solus (Queen's), they added a final transcript request on the To-do list? Does this mean I am put on a wait-list?
I don't think that would be a good indication if you are wait-listed, accepted, or rejected. You'll have to check your status. (Sign on to your Solus account and scroll all the way down. Click on "View Status").
Hey guys!
So I was logging onto my Trent account just to check on things and I noticed 2 things. Firstly, I was just made aware that they needed my highschool transcript but I never sent that to them. Do I still need to send them my transcript even though I am in my final year of my university degree? A follow-up question to that would be do you guys think its to late for me to submit it? I couldn't find any deadlines online for when transcripts needed to be submitted by but I might have missed it.
The second thing I noticed is that when checking my admission status it says EL: Accepted Elsewhere. I got accepted into Western and I accepted it so that my offer wouldn't expire. I didn't think this would jeopardize my ability to hear back from other schools. Does anyone have any insight into this?
Hey for first part as long as you are University student you don't need to send high school transcript .
When you accept an offer from a university which offers collaborative program with others you can get into one and only accept one of the offer. I applied for ryerson and centennial I accepted ryerson. At that time I wasn't sure about my decision. Decided to accept both offer but they told me if you accept the other you we're gonna delete the first one. But generally speaking , if you applied for different unrelated school your acceptance doesn't logically affect the other.
I applied to western, trent, uoft and mac and my top 2 choices are uoft and mac for their accelerated programs. Does that mean because I accepted western, I won't hear back from UofT or McMaster? I know that you are only allowed to accept one school at a time but I thought that you could still receive offers after you have accepted a school.
Of course you can get different offers and accept some of them or all. For Mac an UofT you have to be patient to hear back from them in the mid April or later. I didn't apply for western or Trent so if they don't have any collaboration regarding the program you applied, so acceptance of western offer should not have any effect on Trent.

You do need to send the HS transcript if you are 5 years or less out of high school. They mentioned this specifically on the admissions webinar. That being said, I would still send it.

When I view my "view Status" it says "university decision: pending". Does that mean I have been waitlisted?

That means that your application is still under review. No decision of any kind has been made. You are neither accepted, rejected, or wait-listed. If they wait-list you then they should clearly state that somewhere.

Youre welcome :)
I would keep checking your email that you provided Queen's. They emailed me about 10 days before either the queens portal or OUAC updated. I checked my "other" folder in Hotmail and the offer was hidden there and neither website had any mention of an offer.
Best of luck!
