Hello!
I need help! I am using only Saunders 5e CD for questions training for my NCLEX test in November. Is that enough? I do not have the money for Kaplan prep right now. I am wondering if it is too risky, or if it's going to be enough. Help, anyone?
Thanks!
All I used was the Saunders CD. Over the course of maybe a month or so I'd do 100 exam questions a day of all the content and just go over the rationales after seeing my score. And I kind of did it sporadically at that. My scores ranged on average from about 66% up to around 75% getting higher over time. I passed the NCLEX on the first try with 75 questions and the NCLEX itself didn't seem particularly difficult while I was taking it. I think there were maybe only like 3 questions where I just randomly picked an answer just to keep things moving.
But I honestly credit being in a great nursing program, trying to remember test taking strategies and thinking each question through, being in the habit of answering questions and going over the rationales, and being relaxed going into and while taking the NCLEX much moreso than remembering content or preparing with any specific program(s). I believe it's something like 86% - 89% of nursing graduates who take the NCLEX for the first time pass. I think anxiety more than anything causes failure for those who don't.
Good luck!
Thank you so much for your answer, Jasel. I am glad you got it :) I did not get graduated in US, and I do not think my nursing program was thaaaat great, you know... I am trying studying as much as possible, so lets see. Glad we have forums like this to discuss about our doubts and concerns. Good luck for you too!

Hello, tks for your answers! I am using now Lippincott's as almost all the posts before were mentioning it... Just started with it and I am liking so far. Lets see what happens. I only have 2 months approx. to the test, if I had more time I would go for your suggestion too! Tk you again!
