Hello!
I need help! I am using only Saunders 5e CD for questions training for my NCLEX test in November. Is that enough? I do not have the money for Kaplan prep right now. I am wondering if it is too risky, or if it's going to be enough. Help, anyone?
Thanks!
No comments anyone?? :/

I failed my Nclex-RN exam this July by using only the Saunder's book for content.Their questions are way too easy than the real exam.If you want to reinforce your content with Saunder's cd then it's a good thing to practice from.It is more like content based practice questions.

If utilized correctly it may be enough, however having an extra test bank will expose you to different terminologies and vocabularies so it's always a good idea to have another test bank.

Saunders is too easy compared to the nclex. Kaplan uses Lipincott, if you don't have the money to do Kaplan, get a Lipincott book from Barnes and Nobles or whatever bookstore you have. Lipincott is generally at or above nclex level.

Saunders was not even remotely on the same level as nclex. Kaplan is your best friend, by far, and even then the questions are harder on the nclex. I feel like burning my Saunders book for wasting my time. Thankfully I did use Kaplan and passed.
I chose the "Maybe" option on the poll. As in, maybe you will get lucky.
I just purchased a new lipincott book that only cost me 44.99 and has over 2100 questions online and they are also in the book with rationals :) Passing on a budget/ For me it seems that Saunders is a good source for getting easy to understand content review and rationals, but when it comes to critical thinking, lipincott is the way to go.
the lipincott I just bought by the way, is called lipincotts review for nclex pn, 9th eddition. It was copy righted for 2012. $44.99 at barnes and nobles, you can also purchase it online
Thank you your ansewer!

I used Pearson Nursing review and rationales: a comprehensive review of NCLEX RN by Mary Ann Hogan. It's only a little over $40.00 and the book has great info on all disease process, 1300 practice questions with rationales, as well as an online code to enroll in a self study online ( if you buy the book new) with 4,000-5,000 practice questions. I did about 100 practice questions from there a day and thy are really challenging so I felt like the NCLEX style questions were easier when I took it since the questions I practiced were harder but taught me the fundamental principles of taking the test.
