SAN JAC LVN 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello i wanted to start this thread for those spring 2018 nursing students.

Currently i have applied now i'm waiting for an answer. Anyone else out here applied to the LVN program?

Specializes in ER and family practice clinic.

I spoke with Ms. Howard last week, she said they hadn't emailed the code yet, with that code it only takes few days to get your background check. I tried to do it on my own last week and the lady at IdentN GO said without that code it'll take 4 to 6 weeks. Which won't be in time for orientation.

Good morning! I just received an email from the LVN dept and was told that they will give us specific instructions on Friday 11/17 so we won't get confused.

Thank you for the info!!

You're welcome!

Was the email from North or South?

Was the email from North or South?

It's only on south. It's says it on the acceptance email.

Oh ok thank you

Anyone who hasn't received an email from south should contact them and let them know. I emailed them this morning and they responded with my acceptance. HALLELUJAH!!!

Ya'll...I just logged into my SOS account for San Jac. Pharmacology is only an 8 week class? Can anyone confirm this?

A few pages back I read in this thread about the BON background check procedure-the email from South campus said we will be emailed at a later date on the Texas Board of Nursing Background Check Procedure. However, I have already requested and received my blue card because it does take a while to process and receive. I keep referencing the application packet to make sure I have everything completed on Page 4, under "Requirements after Acceptance". I can't wait to meet all of you! I will be at the packet pick up on Friday.

@AshlynP - You're correct. It looks like Pharm is only 8 weeks for South, but we will be going 4 hours a day instead of 2 hours a day like North. We will be getting the same amount of coursework completed in a shorter period of time.
