Does anyone know when we will get the campus assignment?

Congrats to those who got accepted for Fall! I'll be going to EVC and wondering if anyone has created/joined a group on FB for Fall 2018? It'd be nice to meet some classmates before the semester starts :)

I think a group chat would be an awesome idea!

Does anyone know if we have to have the access code with our textbook for nursing skills?

Are you talking about the bookstore or online? I bought my books approx 2 weeks ago from EVC and didn't have any issues.

And I haven't found any groups on FB. I would but I'd be a horrible admin and wouldn't keep up with it.

Does anyone know of approved tennis shoes? I know they can't have mesh or a big logo. Also do the bottoms of the shoes have to also be the same color? (All black, white, or gray)

Anyone in this thread still active that wants to shed some insight on their campus choice as far as RRC and EVC? How it’s going, have you all lost many students so far, the teachers? I’m starting in the Spring and second guessing my choice as far as the drive haha. I live closer to RR, but heard bad things about ppl transferring to a different campus and students failing more there.

Riv512, I'm currently ending Level 3 at RRC, entering level 4 in the Spring. I don't know that much about the other campuses, only what I've heard from other students I've met during clinicals who go to EVC or CEC. I guess there are some rumors that RRC is harder than the other campuses, but I know the teachers across all three campuses teach the same materials. Honestly, if you manage your time studying, stay on top of the readings, and do LOTS of practice questions, you'll do great! And Mastery checkoffs are just the luck of the draw, some professors are more hardcore than others. Just demonstrate you've practiced and you know what you are doing-you get more confident every semester-or less affected by the stress of performing for the professors?? Try to get the most out of your clinical experience. Every clinical instructor I've had has been instrumental in formulating the kind of nurse I should and want be. I would say the RRC instructors do demand a lot from us because they want us to graduate well prepared and knowledgeable. But I don't think what they're asking is excessive. I think I will be well prepared by the end of Level 4. I'm glad I chose RRC. Oh, and I think this goes for any campus, if do find yourself struggling with material, go to your professors and tutors for clarification EARLY in the semester. That way you can identify what information you need to go over and if you need to find a different way of studying. I hope that helps!

Thank you so much for your input! I tried asking when applying which campus had the highest pass rate/drop out rate, but they said they were all the same lol.
