I will be applying to the Austin Community College Nursing ADN program for the Fall 2018 start. Anyone else applying? How is your ranking looking so far? If I calculated right, my ranking is 35. I take the HESI next month and I am getting nervous about applying. Feel free to leave any advice or info. Good luck to everyone applying!

I'm taking the HESI tomorrow! I'm excited! I think I understand that I will be able to take Nursing Skills in the Spring and then start the program if I do well on Nursing Skills in the Fall of 2018. I am definitely missing something about "ranking" though. What is this 35 # you are referring to?
And did you take the HESI already?
I also take the HESI tomorrow! The ranking is what they use for the selection process, you get so many points for GPA, # of prereqs, HESI score etc. It's on the ACC nursing page. If your ranking is high enough they will email a petition so that you can register for Nursing skills.
Good luck on your test tomorrow! I've look at the page a million times and am just now seeing " The formula is as follows: Rank = (Nursing GPA) X (# of degree plan courses completed) + (HESI Points) + (Review points earned)". I'll remember to keep my eyes open during the test tomorrow. Hopefully we don't get snowed out ?!
Hey guys. Is anyone else just so lost on what the heck is going on with the ADN program right now? Like I have permission to sign up for Nursing Skills but there's a waitlist and the application deadline was moved to the day classes are supposed to start. No one at ACC is trying to help via email so I am going up today, but sheesh. This has been so frustrating to me.

Hey! Any update on the Nursing Skills course? I'm confused as to what semester I can take this course if all of them are full!
Im not sure. I am taking my HESI on 1.16.18. So if I get permission to take Nursing Skills then I have to take the 8 week course starting in March I think. Do either of you know what your total application points were? Also, how was the HESI?
I bet your HESI was postponed today just like mine was on 12/8/17?! The HESI was just as challenging as I thought it would be. I'm an average student and I did well. 96 on the math and 84 on the other two subjects that ACC cares about for ADN program.
Best of luck to you!
When I spoke to ACC recently I was assured that I would get an email today or in the next few days with the petition for the upcoming sessions. Since all ACC offices are likely closed today, I bet it will arrive a little later than that.
Deadline got extended until the 29th. @atxnursedoula, did you receive an email for petition?
The application status link doesn't reflect the new deadline, but if you go to the application process link, it shows the deadline extension. Makes me feel a little paranoid that maybe the application status link doesn't get frequently updated and I'm not getting info I need.
