Augusta U- MSN/CNL- Fall 2018 Entry

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I don't see a group yet started for admission to the Fall 2018's Augusta U MSN/CNL program. I have read through the forum of the Fall 2017 group and it seems to have been very informative!

I am excited once this group starts getting some members, so we can discuss the process (and adventure?!) of applying and finishing pre-reqs!

I am a second career applicant who works full time as an office assistant to two MDs and 1 BSN now. I have previously been a CNA and worked as a PCT in a small rural hospital on the med/surg floor, but then went on to get a BA in English from UGA. After having been an assistant for 4 years and out of school for quite a few more, I am excited about starting this RN program and still question why I didn't do this from the beginning :-) Oh well, I feel I have a lot of real world experience now and I am a much better learner then before! I have four pre-reqs left. A&P 1 and 2, Microbiology, and Human Development. I am planning on trying to CLEP the Human Development course this fall. Currently in the waiting process for acceptance into the Perimeter Campus of Georgia State University to start the other courses.

Looking forward to talking with all of you!

No! I submitted my application on November 9th and I haven't heard anything yet! Im thinking that they are prob busy with finals and the holidays. When did you submit yours?

I submitted my application 10/30 and was invited for an interview on 11/1 and then had my interview on 11/10 so now I'm just anxiously waiting to hear back.

But I agree, I think that the holidays are slowing things down. They had a BAC meeting last Monday and probably couldn't enter any info into the system or send out decisions because of Thanksgiving being on Thursday and from what I can tell most people have their status change from "Ready for Review" to "Decision Made" on the following Thursday after the BAC meeting.

If you dont mind me asking, did you interview on the Augusta Campus, or Athens?

Hi! What should I do to prepare for the interview? Would anyone mind describing their overall interview experience?

Did anyone else have to do a second interview? I had my first interview Nov 10 and just received an interview for a second one..

Also, did anyone else do a phone interview or did you all go in person?

I interviewed in person, but I've never heard of anyone having to do a second interview. I would double check and make sure it wasn't a mistake on their part since you've already interviewed. There might possibly be some confusion since you interviewed over the phone?

Hey! I have applied for Augusta's MSN CNL program. I will receive my degree in Kinesiology in May. I received an email from Augusta today that they are reviewing my application. How long does it take for them to get back with you about an interview if anyone has had one?

Thanks!!

Hi! I sent in my application on November 9th and I received an interview email on November 28th! It didn't take as long as I thought it would! Good luck!!!

Was this for Athens or Augusta?

Hello! I just saw this page! I applied on October 11th and was invited for an interview on November 10th. My application now says decision made, and I am anxiously awaiting my letter. Hopefully it comes next week!
