I got the same notification on Wednesday! I've been checking the mail everyday. I'm hoping it comes either Monday or Tuesday.

I noticed there were some people asking about the interview process and how to prepare so I figured I might as well help y'all get a better understanding of what to expect.

The interview is very straightforward and not stressful at all! When you arrive at AU, park in the visitor spots. If those are taken (they probably will be) then park in the cancer center parking deck across from the main health building. When you meet up with Emily at her office, you will fill out some short paperwork asking about your pre-reqs and choice of campus. Afterwards you will meet with 2 people from the committee in a boardroom and have the formal interview. The interview isn't very long, about 10-15 minutes. You should receive a decision during the end of the first week of the next month.

For preparation, I would HIGHLY suggest skimming the white pages and picking certain parts that you can relate to yourself and make connections to, as well as anything you find particularly interesting. Also try and watch a few videos on youtube about the CNL role and make sure you know what a CNL is and the role that they provide in a healthcare setting! Connect your past experiences (work/healthcare/school) in a way that exemplifies your ability to be a leader, and to be successful in the nursing program. Also, make sure you understand and are reasonably well versed on recent problems in healthcare as a whole, and why they're important.

In my opinion, the interview seems to just be a way for AU to confirm that you'll be a good fit for the program, so consider it an honor that they want to interview you! (Not everybody gets an interview) Lastly, present yourself well, arrive on time, be yourself, and thank them for the opportunity! Good luck!

Augusta Campus. I wonder if there is a Facebook page for our class yet? And if not who is in charge of making it?

Hi! I submitted my application officially on November 29th because I had to retake the GRE. I received an email on November 30th saying my application was being reviewed. I am extremely nervous. How long did it take to hear back about an interview? My GRE score was just a few points higher than 290 and my GPA around the average GPA. But, I have over 300+ hands on observation hours.

    Thanks!

    Good luck, everyone!

    vingram21,
Once I submitted my application, it took only 6 days to receive an email with an invitation for an interview. After my interview date, it was about 19 days until I received my acceptance letter. Just keep a look out on your email for the interview.
    Good luck and don't stress!

It only took me two days to hear back for an interview. I submitted on 10/30 and on 11/1 I was invited for my interview. I think someone else on here was lucky like I was and heard back soon as well. It's honestly all about timing and when they review applications. I've heard of plenty of people not hearing back for an interview for a few weeks or a month. Your time will come!
