Nursing Students School Programs
Published May 12, 2018
Hey all, just wondering who else plans on applying to this upcoming cycle since the deadline is coming up. I actually applied to the spring term, interviewed, but did not get accepted. Hopefully it works out this time :)

Hello Reirei,
Congratulations! May I ask what your GPA for undergrad and for the prereqs are? So that I have an idea what they are looking for? Do you have any experiences in nursing or health care field? Do you have to volunteer a lot? And what did you study for undergraduate? Thank you so much for your time! :)

I earned a degree in public health. My gpa was 3.3 and my prereq gpa was 3.8. I have worked as a CNA for 2 years and currently working at kaiser. This was my second attempt at applying and was lucky to get accepted!! The lady who interviewed me told me they go by a point system and it was out of 40 points. The first time I applied she told me I had 33 points.
So how did you improve your points the second time around?

@eaglejuan, I added you in fb so I can add you to the page
In my first interview, I didn't have clear vision for myself in terms of what I wanted to major in. In the second interview, I knew why I choose this school and the program and also the major. So I was very confident with my interview and it help me become a stronger candidate.

Did they schedule a new interview with you when you re-applied? I reapplied to and I was told they do not schedule interviews for the second time applicants...:/
Yes, they scheduled a new interview for me. That is very weird...

Did anyone else in here that applied for the Summer 2019 term get accepted to the Fall 2019 term? I applied, and was flexible on the campus location and got bumped to an entirely different semester. I am not complaining though! I made a FB group for Inland Empire Fall 2019 if any of you guys get admitted similarly! APU ELM Inland Empire Fall 2019 Cohort
