Hi, I am 42 and just graduated the LPn program here in Ma. I want to jump into the LPN to Rn through Collegenetwork.com. I'm not sure that it is for real. It seems to good to be true. I would have to hold an 80 average though. That is kinda high. Has anyone here done the LPN to RN? I have not even taken the boards yet. Thanks Cissy
college network is only a publishing company. they do not award the degree. as far as i know Excelsior (which i'm doing) and Indiana State U. are the two distance learning programs for RN...Excelsior is an associates and i believe ISU is a bach.
there are quite a few who have recently passed the Excelsior program and clinical weekend and are graduate nurses, waiting to take their NCLEX-RN who did the LPN to RN program (EXcesior offers it for Medics, LPNS, respiratory - to RN program) on this board. browse through the posts and you will see LOTS of info!

There is a thread re: the Indiana State University RN-BSN program
https://allnurses.com/forums/f125/indiana-state-university-bsn-students-248029.html It is very imformative re: the process. A lot of them are not going through The College Network for their books in Phase I and II but purchasing them on ebay etc...to save the money. Phase's III and IV are through ISU. The College Network is only a publishing company of the books, but you do have to pass the studies of the books they publish to go into the program. Anyhow, check out this thread for a wealth of info! Good luck! I would head that direction myself, howevery Texas does not recognize ISU program yet. There is a list in this thread of states that do.

this is not true. i have mentioned this over and over. it is a wide misconception . texas stand on outside nursing programs is if it is approved in the home state then it will be accepted by texas. here is the link and i have called and verified this information.

Just wondering which online program for LPN-RN is better? and which is better as far as money, meaning worth the money and the time that goes with it?
