about a year.
wowwwwwww i guess convenience online comes with a major COST
that is way too much for one year of education. is it that much for all online nursing schools? and do you have to do it for one year or can you finish it faster than that? also, is it cheaper to just go to a university and finish your bsn after your associates degree?

Where I live, we have a public university that does a RN to BSN program. I believe it's one night a week, lasts one year. The cost is probably around $10,000 for the entire year.

Many programs are insanely expensive. Check out the University of Wyoming's RN-BSN program. I go there and everything is online and tuition is dirt cheap. For example, next semester I am taking 13 credits and it only costs me roughly $1300. You can finish the program in a year if attend all year, thats what I did. I started Summer 2009 and should graduate Spring 2010.

you also have to consider in the gen ed extras that you have to take, so sometimes a little more than a year....

There is a wide range of costs, depending on the individual school. I would definitely shop around ...
Look at your own state colleges so that you don't have to pay out of state costs.....they'll get you with those every time!

look online at your state universities and major colleges. Usually cheaper and may offer scholarships or incentives too
