any one fail nclex lpn with 85 question

Published

Hello, I took my nclex on 12/18 and it cut off on 85 questions. I know that everyone says that the feel as though they have failed the first time, but I am really tripping. All I could do is when I was done is drive to the strip mall parking lot and try and get my composure for about 45 minutes. I am trying not to think about it, yet it is all that I can do. My goal is to start the bridge program, I really want to become an RN. If by the grace of God I do pass, I have to go through this nclex again.

I actually don't know of anyone that has failed with 85 questions. I also had 85 questions and passed but I was still a nervous wreck waiting for the results. Good luck to you, I'm sure you did just fine.

I took the NCLEX-PN on Dec 18 also and I'm also a nervous wreck. My computer shut off at 85 too. The whole time was praying that I got more questions because I wasn't too sure about the ones I recieved. A friend of mine took her test last month and she said she felt the same way when her computer cut off at 85 but she ended up passing. She told me not to worry but I can't help it.

I know you know this but the number of questions is irrelevent. It only matters how many you got right or wrong. Like you stated, most feel as though they failed when they leave the test site. The good news is 85% of U.S. trained will pass first time. Best advise is to distract yourself while you wait for the results. Do NOT dwell on the test. ( I did and it drove me and my family nuts ) Hang in there.

Good luck.

Hey I know how you feel, I just took my nclex on friday and it shut off at 85, I had a ton of multiple choice questions. I have to wait until Tuesday to find out. But everyone I talk to tells me that I'm sure you passed, be positive hang in there.

FYI...look at the date on the previous post.....this is an old post, it's from 2008.
