I took my NCLEX on 12/18 and I found out this morning that I passed... I really didn't do any hard studying before the test. I looked at a couple of index cards did about 50 nclex questions from saunders. There is no point in doing too much craming because you probably won't see much of the material you studied on the test. What helped me was my test taking skills. Take your time, read through each question, remember your ABC's-airway-breathing-circulation when answer questions, and just do process of elimination. I didn't have too many knowledge based questions. So no matter how I would have studied it wouldn't have prepared me. Good Luck!! I'm sure you will do great!! :wink2:

No, they don't have evening classes but the first 2 semesters you only go a couple days per week. I remember my first semester I went to class on Mondays & Tuesdays. Second semester I went Tuesdays and Thursdays. I don't know If that fits with your schedule.

Sojouner Douglass College in Baltimore city has a new LPN program I just graduated in Nov 2008. I was only the third graduating class. After so many attemps at all the community colleges and not getting in, I got frustrated. A friend told me about their program I got in, graduated, and just took the NCLEX. I have applied to Harford Community College RN program in the past (3 times), so I'm familiar with how getting into their program works. It is not your GPA; you have a really good GPA. HCC nursing program is based on a point system + GPA. For each coorifice you complete you will recieve points(ex:if you recieve an A for A&P you will revieve 4 pts). So the more coorifices that are completed the more points you recieve. So it is best to complete all pre-nursing coorifices + any degree requirements such as phys ed and arts & humanity coorifices becuase you recive pts for completing those coorifices too. You want to be as competitive as you can.

I took the NCLEX-PN on Dec 18 also and I'm also a nervous wreck. My computer shut off at 85 too. The whole time was praying that I got more questions because I wasn't too sure about the ones I recieved. A friend of mine took her test last month and she said she felt the same way when her computer cut off at 85 but she ended up passing. She told me not to worry but I can't help it.
