Apr 4, 2011 I have decided that I am going to try and Clep Analyzing and Interpreting humanities after the last thread you posted on this subject. I only need 3 credits, but this really seems like the easiest route to go. I am going to try and do it as soon as finish my nursing exams next month while I wait for CPNE.

Apr 5, 2011 I will only need one also. But my advisor at Excelsior told me if I took a 3 credit exam I could always use the extra towards my BSN. Are you doing Excelsior? If so this may help you also, I plan on taking abnormal psychology to fulfill the 3 credits.

It is a very easy exam. If you have basic reading comprehension skills, and google "literary devices" and go over those that exam is as easy as it comes, and you get 6 credits. You may only need one but you can always use the others in the future, and it is cheap. The price for that exam worth 6 credits is cheaper, than most one credit courses. If I had known how easy that exam was going to be now, and I had to take it, I would study the literary devices tonight, and go take the exam in the morning. Seriously.

Im just really nervous about this test because I hate reading this type of material. Im going to take it next wed, that is as soon as I could get in. Thanks

You'll get a passage to read with numbered lines and the question will be something like "Which one of these is written in iambic pentameter?" "This passage is written in which person?" and "What does the author mean by ________?" or "When the author says ___, he is referring to?" The test itself is not very hard, it just time consuming cause some of the passages are long! You will do fabulous :-)

Then just call the college and they will set you up. :-)

Don't you have to do through the entire admission process with transcripts etc to do an exam with them? When I looked at doing a class before, it would have cost me $$$ to go through that entire process for just a class or two. Thanks for your help on this!!

I just called the place and tested and when i log in tell them where I want the record sent. It's a drop down menu with state and then institution.

You have to pay $20 up front to save your spot and then the day of the test you have to pay $70ish for the actual exam. When you start taking the exam you will have a drop down screen where you select the school(s) you want it sent to.
