Congratulations Tonya!! This is a well deserved triumph for you and you are truly an inspiration to young and old mothers alike!! Isn't it a nice feeling to know you overcame great odds and statistics to become so successful and achieve your dream? A lot of girls in your situation wouldn't have the guts to do what you've done. It is hard and tough, but you have done it and I'm sure will will continue to excel in your nursing career!

I AM DONE and now I can officially say I have ONE more semester left and I will be done in May. YIPEEEE:roll :roll :roll I did not think it was going to happen but I will be making Dean's honor roll again for the second semester ever in my college or even high school life. I never received anything above a 3.0 in high school. It feels great to acheive something and have my name in the paper. IT feels like I can encourage/inspire many of my other high school classmates who became young mothers like I did to go out and do anything they believe in regardless of what anyone tells them. I knew quite a few young mothers. It got so bad at my school they decided to but a daycare in the school for the young moms.
Well, I am off until January 15th and then it will be time to come back in full force and finish the semester. It looks like I may have to go with my second choice for my senior preceptorship/capstone which is Labor and Delivery but if that is where they put me then I will accept that. I wrote down NICU as my first choice but I had such a hard time writing down either NICU or OB as a first choice so I went with NICU but if they put me in OB I definitely won't be heart broken since that is another great interest of mine.
Thanks to everyone who offered all the encouragement and advice over the past couple of weeks you all have been great. This board is so awesome!!!!!
