Olivet Nazarene FNP

Published

Hi! I'm looking at FNP programs. What have you heard about Olivet Nazarene University? I've heard great things so far. The only thing I'm a little worried about is the curriculum; it looks like there aren't as many core FNP classes as there are in other programs. Has anyone gone through their FNP program? Have any insight? Thanks!

Are you in the new program where you do two classes at a time over 7 weeks?

LPS0509...The new program does not change anything. Their Professors do not care about anything. Everybody gives you a rosy picture to get you enrolled but problems begin to happen once you are midway through their program. We are all stuck in this program with no one to help. Their director does not respond and everyone is running around in frustration. Read through all the reviews on this website and online. They are all true. I wish I had read them before I enrolled here. It is not just me that is frustrated but many people who are enrolled here are also in the same boat. Do not fall for their good marketing tactics and promotional advertisements. Go to a program where your hard work is appreciated and where resources are available to guide you.

Kwright8706,

Pharmacology and health assessment is extremely hard. Starting next January, they are transitioning to another more sophisticated proctoring service (examsoft) and all the exams will be proctored.

I am planning to start in February 2018 but am very concerned after reading all these negative reviews!

Please go to a different school. Take our advice Zamrn. Do not get stuck with their marketing gimmick. We are all stuck here currently and we don't anyone to fall into this trap.

Whats the min requirements

hey! Hope your schooling is going well! I was reading this thread as I am about to start advanced Patho in February and didn't know if anyone had any advice for this class? Any study materials you can share or tips? I've never taken an online proctored exam how long do you get and how many questions are there?

Thanks!

Hey! I am supposed to start in February as well! Anyone want to exchange info so we can help one another!?

ClayH, I saw you live in Phoenix Arizona, I actually live in Scottsdale. My question is how did you go about finding a preceptor? I'm starting clinicals in a couple of months and still trying to find one. Any suggestions for NPs/MDs/DOs in the Phoenix area?

Thanks!
