Olivet Nazarene FNP
ClayH, I saw you live in Phoenix Arizona, I actually live in Scottsdale. My question is how did you go about finding a preceptor? I'm starting clinicals in a couple of months and still trying to find one. Any suggestions for NPs/MDs/DOs in the Phoenix area? Thanks!

Olivet Nazarene FNP
I'm passing patho thankfully, but does anyone have suggestions on pharmacology and health assessment exams? Were the classes more difficult/strenuous than patho? I can't wait to finally move on after these next two courses!

Recently met a FNP grad from Chamberlain
I know two graduates from Chamberlain's FNP program that had jobs within 3 months of graduating. The ease of employment could also vary from city to city

Failing Fundamentals. Help!
Pinpoint your areas of weakness and focus extra time on those. Quizlet practice questions or questions from the Saunders book can be very helpful as well. Learn pneumonics for major concepts. Teach major concepts to a friend, spouse/partner, dog, anyone. Even if you stumble through it, verbally reciting information can engrain it in a different way.

Scary Nurses
That is unfortunate to hear. I feel some of these nurses are often not let go simply because they have many years of experience, especially if they have been on a particular floor for 10+ years.

Olivet Nazarene FNP
I am in Informatics at Olivet Nazarene, Patho and Pharm are coming up soon and after reading these comments I'm a bit worried! Did most students end up passing patho and pharm? Any suggestions?

Was anyone bad at math/ science before prerequisites?
Yes, I had to re-take a couple science courses and a statistics course to get my grades up to par for a BSN program
