anyone starting school to become an LPN that is an older student? I wil be starting in 2012 and I'm 35.

Oh the snide "whatever mom" years. Rainbows and puppy dogs :uhoh3: LOL!

SERIOUSLY!! :lol2:

I'm starting my RN (2 yr) in October and will turn 40 Sept. 27th! I have 5 kids, ages 20-5. If i can do this ANYONE can!!

Good luck!!

Damn straight! :lol2: Good luck to you too sister!!!

I am hoping to start an LVN program within the next year, and I will be 35 soon. I am so glad to know I am not alone in all this. Good luck!

I am starting Pre-nursing in the Fall 2011. Praying to get into program Fall 2012. I am 36. I have 7 year old twins and a 10 year old. I am taking it a day at a time. Right now most of my courses will be online. I look down the road and worry about clinicals and how I will manage with classes too early. Don't know how I will get my kids to school and back. Hoping my family will help, but not counting on it.

I'll be 40 when I (finally!!) graduate with a BSN. But I'm okay with this because I've heard that 40 is the new 21 and I believe everything I hear, so :w00t: :w00t:

I think us older student will do just fine, I think for me since I'm older I know that I want to be a nurse more than anything so I will study harder. I think at a younger age I might have given up sooner!! Hopefully this stands true when I start school in February:redpinkhe

I'll be 39 this month. I'm done with all my pre-requisites and hope to get into a BSN program for the spring. I'll be in my early 40s when I get my degree.

I sure hope so.. I HATE that I'm inching on 40. My sister, who is 47, said she loves it and it doesn't bother her at all. I wonder why it does me so much? Probably because over the past few years I actually look older than she does.. for the first time in our lives! ;) (I've been graying for years now)
