  1. That is great. You have a good guy if he realized his mistake and changed his behavior. Many wouldn't. It is a blessing to your whole family to work this out. You child gets to be raised by parents only and not need a babysitter. And the mommy is alert and happy so you spend more quality time together. Also you get to keep your job which helps everyone. Well done!!
  2. i love that. i am 36 whether i like it or not. i can be 40 and maybe be an rn or i can just be 40. i would rather have a career by the time i am 40 than the job i have now.
  3. I work night shift also. I had since my 3 children were babies. Sleep when you get home until your husband leaves for work. Sleep during the child's nap. Work very hard to get a sleep schedule set up. If your little one went to bed at 8 you could sleep a couple hours before you went in. This is what I did. You will get enough sleep to do your job well and be there for your child. But you will have to be careful with your weight. Sleeping in small bursts like that does make you have a very slow metabolism and gain weight.
  4. I have MCS and I want to be a nurse. I have only had to use my Epi Pen once since I was diagnosed. But it makes me nervous that I will not be able to do the job I want due to the over use of chemicals and fragrance. I work in a facility with elderly now and I have had close calls and needed Benedryl. But a lot of people have said there is no way I can be a nurse with MCS. I hope they are wrong
  5. I am a long way off from Nclex. I just want to know how you got the dancing angel and the baby
  6. I am 36 and have gotten the same thing. The advisor when I applied told me I didn't need to worry about applying for next year because I had zero chance of getting in. Before I even enrolled she was telling me I would fail. Told me all candidates will have all A's and all pre-req done. No one has even applied yet. Family has said I am a little old to try, physically can I even do it. I have heard 4 classes is too much and I won't get good grades. People have rolled their eyes. Only 2 distant relatives have said positive things. I am just going to buy a Staples card for like $10 and put it in my wallet. Because some day I will need money for copies of my ADN. I intend to hand and mail them out like they used to cigars when they had a baby.
  7. My school has Spanish for Medical field. That is nursing related but would be relatively light. It is one I am probably going to do if it takes an extra year to get into nursing program.
  8. I am starting Pre-nursing in the Fall 2011. Praying to get into program Fall 2012. I am 36. I have 7 year old twins and a 10 year old. I am taking it a day at a time. Right now most of my courses will be online. I look down the road and worry about clinicals and how I will manage with classes too early. Don't know how I will get my kids to school and back. Hoping my family will help, but not counting on it.
