anyone starting school to become an LPN that is an older student? I wil be starting in 2012 and I'm 35.

I too will be 35 but i've been in the pre nursing game for almost 3 years now, hoping to be accepted by the spring.

I will be 29 in august and 5 days after my birthday I start a 3 year BSN program. I feel like I've been in school for forever... well I have I guess LOL. I will be done when I'm 31 but almost 32. I think the over 30 and over 40 crowd still has plenty of life left in them :) and perhaps life experiences make the older students better students and nurses.

Thanks guys. Glad I'm not alone. I am excited to start school just worried I will get overwhelmed. I plan to work every other weekend and my kids will be 7 and 9 when I start school. I know it will be hard but I am determined to do this!!!:):):):):):)

I'm right there with ya, my kids will be turning 3 and 5 in september, and the older one starts kindergarten. Needless to say I think I am freaking out more about him starting school than me starting school LOL :lol2:

i was 45 when i graduated from the LPN program...now doing some co-reqs for my RN....:yeah:

I am 62, live in Riverside, CA and will be starting CNA next month at Chaffey. Followed by LVN.

Sh***t! I WISH I was 35! :lol2: I start nursing school in the fall and I'm 41. My kids are now 15 and 9. You'll be just fine hon!! YOU GO GIRL! :yeah:

Ditto! I'll be just shy of 40 when I start clinicals. My kids are 20 and 15!!! ;)

I'm starting my RN (2 yr) in October and will turn 40 Sept. 27th! I have 5 kids, ages 20-5. If i can do this ANYONE can!!
