It was the last day to do it, but I OFFICIALLY SUBMITTED MY APPLICATION TO OHSU!!!! ?
Anyone else applying for this cohort?
A little about me: I am an older, non-traditional student, single Mama with 8 and 13 year old boys! I currently hold a BA in Psych. I wanted to apply to the ABSN, however, my Statistics class is over 7 years old, and it was also a C. ? I will just have to retake it, if I end up needing to apply next year. This is also my very first application cycle. ?
I feel like OHSU is definitely my top choice, but I will also be applying to Linfield, and possibly Concordia (only because they have an accelerated program, and seem to offer more start dates.
Now the waiting begins!!!! ? ?

not sure how to feel at the moment. Feeling a bit defeated, not quite good enough but trying to stay positive
Don’t lose hope yet... I know some people were able to ask where they were on the list position-wise. Maybe call or email tomorrow? And, no matter what, you were invited for an interview because they already considered you a fit for the program. Don’t give up. ? Easier said that done, I know. My interview is a week from today, and I’m a ball of nerves. ?

That is what I do before any interview and it helps me a lot. I did the typing a couple days after getting the invite, and then rewrote a few that I expected by hand to get it in to my brain better. In the end, I am glad I did it and overall they were all so friendly that it was way less scary than I hyped it up to be (although who knows how I will feel when I actually find out the decision). ?
Did you feel like those commonly asked questions prepared you well for the interview questions?

In a way they did. Not so much the basic answering of the questions, but finding stories that went with them as examples helped. I would say the basic questions helped me with the essay more, but overall I am glad I prepared.
Congrats @pharmadillo! I was accepted to Ashland too! ..... Though, not certain if I’ll accept since out of state tuition is a lot (I’m in California) and far from close friends/family. How easy is it to find people to connect with in their late 20s/early30s? Ashland is a very small town

It is small, but people are VERY friendly. Lots of activities and outdoors stuff. I have my biology degree from SOU and connecting with people was never too difficult if you like the outdoors or the arts.
Congrats!

Fingers crossed for you. That was fast to hear back. I keep refreshing my email for Ashland.
