4.0 in prerequisites with some healthcare experience (non-nursing). They do not have a published point system, but they must base their decisions off of something. They invited 64 people to interview for 32 spots. In addition to the interview there were two essay portions: one that you did at home and one you did at the interview that was proctored.
I'm not allowed to go into detail about the interview, but it was definitely unique! We had the opportunity to talk to current students, which I found to be really informative.
@efda2rn you have to establish your own facebook group if your class chooses to do so, the instructors don't neccasarily endorse facebook because it hasnt worked well for every class but it is AWESOME for mine. Each class has their own but someone (me for the current sophomore class) creates it and shares it with everyone they know. I think we had about 16 students on the page before orientation and almost everyone is on it now. There is a Monmouth Student Nurses Association page that you will be invited to after orientation as well. I am currently helping a little (just writing a letter to the new class) with the packets that you will receive in June with all the info you need about supplies. We needed a blood pressure cuff, stethescope...dont over think this just get a littman classic, pen light, the scrubs we wear are forest green I have dickies and squint brands, shoes have to be black or white, and you need a thigh length white lab coat, the OHSU patches can be bought at the WOU book store. This information might change for your class but all the classes attending now this is what was required of us.

Hi there! I just found out today that I will be joining the Fall 2014 OHSU-Monmouth cohort! I was hoping to connect with other people that are starting in the fall as well. I will be commuting from Brownsville.
I am so excited!
Where else have you applied to? Is this your first time applying? Will you be accepting the offer to attend?
