OHSU ABSN to MN in Nurse-Midwifery 2014

Published

I haven't seen a thread for this years application cycle, so here goes! It sounds like we should get interview invites soon (seeing as how the interviews are in just a few weeks). I called admissions the other day and they said the applications had just recently been sent out for faculty review, so it will probably be a bit until the invites go out. Anxiously waiting!

I think we added you?

Hello! I was just called by M at OHSU and offered admission this morning...a little bit late to the cycle, I see, as I think other people were called around March 1st! I found the fb group but didn't know if I had to do something special to be accepted to it? Thanks!

Hello,

I am hoping to connect with anyone that may have information about being on the waitlist for Accelerated Bachelor to Masters-Midwifery at OHSU. I just received a letter today. They rate folks as "highly, moderately, and somewhat likely to be offered admission." I am moderately likely to be offered admission this year. It can't get any more vague than that, huh?!

I'm wondering if anyone knows how likely it is that OHSU pulls students from waitlists. Has anyone in years past (or do you know of anyone) been "moderately" likely and been accepted?

I'm in the same boat. I know somebody in the program and she says she knows one person that got off the waiting list last year... So I'm not holding my breath. At least it wasn't a flat-out no :-)

Hi! I will be applying for next years ABSN to MSN in midwifery and was wondering if any of y'all would kindly let me know what your stats are and background so I can gauge my own ability to get in? I feel pretty good about my background except I don't have any direct experience with birthing and the process sounds extremely competitive. I was a Peace Corps community health volunteer in Africa, have my MSW, and work mainly with communities of color and homeless populations (mostly dudes though) for the past four years. My GPA for undergrad and masters were both about 3.5 and my GRE's are strong (m 158, v 167). Feel free to post your stats or private IM me. Thanks so much and good luck for to you who are on the waitlist and all of y'all who made it in. Great work!
