  1. Hi! I wanted to start a thread for folks who are applying for next years ABSN program at OHSU. I read the threads from years before and I found them very helpful, if you have applied in years past or are applying for next years program please join in and share your wisdom, excitement and struggles. I'm applying for the ABSN at OHSU and the DE program for psych nursing. I've got a pretty solid background but I will have only completed A and P and a stats course by the time of application- I'm abit worried that will count hard against me so hopefully everything else in my application will override that. Anyone else in the boat of not having completed all their pre-req's? Anyone from previous years get in with just one measly A & P completed? My stats is a 500 level, bio-stats course from OHSU, so hopefully that counts for something. Good luck to everyone! Applications open up so soon!
  2. Hi! I will be applying for next years ABSN to MSN in midwifery and was wondering if any of y'all would kindly let me know what your stats are and background so I can gauge my own ability to get in? I feel pretty good about my background except I don't have any direct experience with birthing and the process sounds extremely competitive. I was a Peace Corps community health volunteer in Africa, have my MSW, and work mainly with communities of color and homeless populations (mostly dudes though) for the past four years. My GPA for undergrad and masters were both about 3.5 and my GRE's are strong (m 158, v 167). Feel free to post your stats or private IM me. Thanks so much and good luck for to you who are on the waitlist and all of y'all who made it in. Great work!
