OHSU ABSN June 2011 Start

Hello everyone,

I heard from current students that this is about the time last year that they got the PHONE CALL that they got into the OHSU ABSN program. I haven't heard anything yet. Has anyone else?

So, I got my financial aid package and they expect me to pay the majority with private loans.

Has anyone heard of any preferred banks? I know OHSU does not have a preferred lender list...but just thought I'd ask around.

I finally got off the waiting list today! Didn't take the offered spot because I am ready to roll at UP for the fall, but just wanted to let folks know they are working their way down the alternate list for the summer start ABSN--it is not over yet!

Hey Val did they give you anymore information regarding how many people were on the waitlist or anything helpful for those still anxiously waiting?!

Sorry--I wasn't thinking. I should have been more coy and tried to get some intel. She said there was an update in my admission status and asked if I was still interested in my alternate position. I said "no" and she said they were going to offer me a spot and then wished me luck at UP. Quick conversation! She told me to keep OHSU in mind if I did any grad work (I thought, why would you like me any better for a masters?, but didn't say so. LOL) I hope good news is coming soon for you!

Dang! Well congrats anyway! I am on the waitlist, and really would just like to know how many people were even on it, and how many were called. As of now, I am attending an 11 mo. accelerated program starting in Sept. at Drexel University in Philadelphia, and really just want to stay in OREGON!!! wahhh haha

Just accepted a spot in the new Fall Accelerated BS cohort!!! Totally out of the blue....I was just starting to give up hope. Did anyone else out there receive a similar offer?

I was told today by Admissions that there should be 32 in the OHSU ABSN Fall Cohort...sounds good to me. Nice & Small.

Wow! Are all of these students off of the waitlist from this year? Now this makes me wonder...how many people were waitlisted?!!! haha
