Hello,
I know it's WAY too early, but I'm just so anxious - has anyone received an acceptance email from Ohlone for fall 2010?
Would you please post when you do so I'll know when they've started going out?
I'm now compulsively checking my email all day every day- I want to go to Ohlone sooo badly!
How do you know what number you are when they haven't posted the lottery results online yet? I'm still waiting to find out what number I am.
Hi--
As others on this forum have posted, you will receive an email with a .pdf attachment from a staff memeber at Ohlone. Since it had an attachment, it wouldn't hurt to check your Spam folder. Mine came at 8:52 PM on Friday night--I can't believe she was working that late. Perhaps you will receive yours on Monday. Ohlone has not posted lottery results online for Fall 2010/Spring 2011.
Good luck!
I am number 72 on waitlist, so the odds of me getting in are slim. This is my second time applying to Ohlone. This is the first time they are only doing the process once a year. It will be interesting to see how that affects the wait list. Congrats to all of those that made it!
How many are they admitting? I read they were admitting 20 for fall, 20 for spring. Is this like CSM? They have a waitlist of over 250, yet they are only admitting 50.
They are taking 20 for fall and 20 for spring - as I understand it, if anyone in the Fall class (#s 1-20) declines, they move people in the Spring class (#s 21-40) up to fall. They will then move people on the waitlist up based on their number. So if 1 person in Fall declines, 1 person from Spring joins the Fall class and #41 on the list gets to be in Spring.
Hello, everyone:
The results are now on the website:

I'm pretty excited about it too. You shouldn't be worried about the TEAS test. They said at the orientation that they haven't ever had someone fail it. I took it a few months ago and it was pretty easy. It's mostly common sense.
For instance: You need to ask a question about a patient but you have no idea what department they are located in. Who do you call? Then the answers are like A)Obstetrics, B) Main line, C) Emergency room, D) Surgery. The answer would be B because since you don't know where they are you would have to have someone on the main line look it up. You wouldn't just start calling random numbers.
As for the math section I swear they had the question "What is 5 + (-11)." The only section that threw me off was the spelling section because they had some words I didn't know. Which was pretty bad because I read A LOT. If you are feeling nervous about it though you should get the study guide from the ATI website. Don't make the mistake of getting the KAPLAN one from a bookstore though. It made me study a lot more than I had to. The only other thing I can say would be to familiarize yourself with rocks like "igneous" rocks and tectonic plates. Those threw me off a little. Anyways, I'm sure you'll do fine. Most of the questions are a lot easier than the ones I brought up. I think they just make us take it to weed out any people that lack common sense, which is something that you really need to be a nurse.

I'm number 50 on the waitlist. Ohlone was the third and final place (this go around) that I've been waitlisted. Feeling a little dejected.
