Hello! I am starting a thread for all applicants for the OSU direc-entry MSN!
Hopefully we can keep each other sane through this process. I would love to hear about the experiences of others!
I had my interview today... pretty sure I bombed question number four. I did not like the LikeLive interview process. I don't know if interacting with a computer really demonstrates your personality and I think personality is an important factor to gauge appropriately if you're going to be working as a nurse.
How did your interviews go?
@Angelfish, I hope you made it!
@hungrystudent: I did not get in either
Oh well.....I do have other options.....
First, my family and I are moving to the Columbus area next week and there are Accelerated BSN programs in the Columbus area whose application programs are still opened. Second, I think I might look at other programs (e.g. PA).
So heartbreaking.....my passion for women's health and nurse-midwifery is so strong and full!
I do know that if I get into a BSN program, I can earn my MSN in CNM/WHNP with Frontier Nursing School online with clinicals on their campus several times during the year.
Best wishes to all!
That's really tough. Do you think you'll apply again? I was just talking to a current student in the program and she applied twice. The second time she changed her specialty to something less competitive and she got in.
My background is in psych and I have a Masters too. I have no medical experience, but lots of patient based experience, so I'm hoping that helps. I haven't heard of anyone getting accepted either. I wonder if anyone has received an acceptance yet.
I will apply again in fall. This time through I'll have all of my prerequisites done as I'm finishing the last few this semester. I have also entertained the idea of either getting a PCA job in L&D or a mother/baby unit or going through doula class with a relative. The only way I would change my specialty is to WHNP which I'm not sure is any less competitive.
That should all help you immensely. I really hope you get in. I want to see someone succeed in getting admitted this year.

I did not get in. Good luck to everyone else who applied! I'll probably try PA school next.
