Hey! I was hoping to start a thread consisting of summer 2017 applicants to Ohio State's Graduate Entry program. I just finalized my application and submitted last Friday! Well before the deadline in October so I'm hoping that helps. I guess you can say I'm an overly proactive type of person lol. Blessing and a curse. But I've completed all pre-reqs except Microbiology..... which I'm in right now until December. My GPA isn't strong at all 3.2. I'll be taking the GRE in September so I'm pretty much dedicating a lot of my time to studying for that...
Anyways, I hope to meet more people who applied/will apply this year for next summer :)
Crunch time starts now!
SUPER NERVOUS, BUT SO EXCITED!!
Kind of following this - applying to the BSN-DNP program. Like you all though, I have a Bachelor's in another field first. I'm doing the Accelerated BSN currently throughout University of Wisconsin so that I can work at a higher level of pay while I go through school. So In some aspects my application is a little similar to yours in the idea that my personal statements, etc, have to be a bit tailored to my previous experience in mental health vs. experience as a nurse (I did rehabilitation and counseling based work, going for a PMHNP!). Just kind of following along to get a feel for the general population of nursing students. When do you guys hear back?
Hi guys I'm new to this thread. I was reading some of the comments through and was wondering a few things. How long is the program including the "pre-MSN" courses we take before we take the NCLEX? And what is the total cost of the program ? Are we able to receive aid even though this is post our first bachelors degree ? I already have tons of loans from John Carroll University and was wondering how funding for this program is given to students. Thank you to anyone who can help!!!
I haven't started yet but I can tell you the little that I do know. I believe it's about 18mos until you take the NCLEX. The total length is 3 years. As I understand it, yes, you can get loans (I am certainly hoping so as I cannot enroll without them!). I think that the total cost is close to 70K but honestly I am not sure at all. I think that could be a ballpark figure. Hopefully someone else will chime in.
