Hey! I'm applying as well! My app is finished I am just trying to do some final editing on my personal statement....it's the hardest part because it is so important!! I have all the pre-reqs finished but my GPA is only ~3.3 so it's not exactly fabulous. It actually dropped a little this summer while taking biochem, so I am really nervous about that! Hopefully GPA isn't a huge deterrent! I attended two info sessions and they give you a score based on all of the parts, GPA only being one, so I really hope it's not too bad. I've heard of several people getting in with 3.1-3.3 though! :)
Hey! I'm thinking about applying to this program. I've already been accepted to a program, but I am keeping my options open. My cumulative GPA is around a 3.6 and my prereq GPA is a 4.0 so far. It looks like I would still need to take pharmacology. I would love to hear more about this program!! And how easy or hard it has been for nurse practitioners to land jobs without prior nursing experience. I am interested in the FNP route. Anyone else looking into this or a similar route?
I am also considering applying. I haven't even begun the application though! I had to take intro bio and chem to even begin the prereqs. I graduated with my bachelor's in 1995 so it's been awhile since I've done school. Right now I am registered for micro and anatomy at CSCC (and would still need physio and nurse assistant after that). Hoping I can pull this off for the fall...
Has anyone tried emailing OSU and not gotten a response? I've sent a couple emails to ask if my prerequisite classes will be acceptable and I haven't gotten any responses. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue. I'm also wondering if anyone knows anything about Capital University and its Accelerated BSN program because I am thinking about applying there, as well.
Yes, that's happened to me but if you email [email protected] (i would double check that i have this address right), I did get a quick response from someone named Mark who was very helpful. The acceptable prereqs are on there but I guess only if you take them from CSCC or OSU.
I've tried emailing [email protected] a few times and have gotten no response! I will have to see if I can find an email address for Mark, I guess. I didn't take any prereqs from OSU or CSCC. Every school I have contacted so far has said they would accept mine, but I still like to know for sure before spending the time and money to apply!
I have emailed the college multiple times and I have always gotten a pretty prompt response. I would try to call them and get a more direct email and just let them know you have had troubles with getting a response. They are really friendly there in my opinion! If you took your prereqs at an accredited university you should not have a problem. I've only ever had to transfer some random CSCC credit to OSU and I've used transferology so I may be wrong when it comes to other states.
Hey Guys!
I have been lurking on this post for a while now but finally got the courage to post! I am applying to the program too for Summer 2017 and just submitted my application. I applied to FNP which I know is the most competitive. I am still working on my personal statement though and it is not where I want it to be yet :/ I am so nervous because I have mainly B's and B+'s for my prerequisites (they're all completed) and have been rejected by the College before for the BSN program My GPA is alright at 3.6 and I'm a current senior in the Honors Program here but, like I said, I'm just very nervous and you all are so smart. I hope we all do get in! This process is just so stressful.

Hey! I was hoping to start a thread consisting of summer 2017 applicants to Ohio State's Graduate Entry program. I just finalized my application and submitted last Friday! Well before the deadline in October so I'm hoping that helps. I guess you can say I'm an overly proactive type of person lol. Blessing and a curse. But I've completed all pre-reqs except Microbiology..... which I'm in right now until December. My GPA isn't strong at all
3.2. I'll be taking the GRE in September so I'm pretty much dedicating a lot of my time to studying for that...
Anyways, I hope to meet more people who applied/will apply this year for next summer :)
Crunch time starts now!
SUPER NERVOUS, BUT SO EXCITED!!
