Ohio get together?

Thanks for replying. I tried in the summer the year before last to have a get together. I had travel directions, a reservations and a good crowd supposed to come. My employer had the bright idea after planning this for several months that I had to fly to Minnesota......meetings. I had to cancel.

Well thank you so much!!! somedays I fell like "just a nurse aide" But as a very wise nurse once told me "you are the foundation of this feild" always said that if it were not for us these people would be in a world of trouble and as far as the people that do the job I used to think that people were just in it for a paycheck but that cant be so as little as the nurse aide end of it pays its sad but true

I would very much enjoy an Ohio get-together. Even if it is only 3 or 4 or 5 of us.

I am between Mansfield and Columbus.

And - it is true - there is no such thing as "just" an aide....how could the nurses do their job w/o aides?? I also say there is no such thing as "just" a housekeeper, clerk, dietician, etc, etc. ALL our jobs are important!

I have a really stupid, hectic schedule, like most of you I bet.

I work two jobs, my main being Surgery, but I would like to meet a few of you all face to face. I could be fun......but then it might ruin your (my) ideas of what we really look like :chuckle

I live over toward Cambridge, so, towards the Mansfield direction, or just north of Columbus, wouldn't be that much of a stretch for me.

Just give me some warning on this thread, and I'll see what I can do to join up.

Robb, don't anyone let them call you "just an aid" !!!!!!!

I agree with the others, you, aids just like you, LPN's and the growing list of other medical technicians, are a vital part of the healthcare team.

RN's DON'T DO IT ALONE!!!! They can't, they just don't get it if they think they can!

On the other hand, you all need us too.

It depends on the person, and how they do their job, and how they treat others.

NOT their job title!!!

Spring sounds good to me! things are so crazy around here (of course the holidays always are!) btw I took a big step and sent in my application to the technical college for the RN program I am so excited and nervous all at the same time! My dream finally I am taking steps to work towards it!
