Am I the only one that does this? (surely not)
All of those abbreviations I've learned along the way are a way of life. With baseball so prevalent right now, my mind turns "ALCS" in to "ACLS"....I have to think about it before I say it.
It also comes out when reading license plates. In my state, plates are 3 numbers and 3 letters....so I look at them all, and notice the ones that have letters such as: HGB, HOH, LBM...........
What do you notice?

I give new grads introductions to the vent. Inspiratory time (Ti) will always remind me of the rapper.
The car model named Previa will never be a good car in my eyes.
I used to post on a wedding messageboard. They abbreviated Save The Date as STD and bridesmaid as BM. lol!

When I text my friends I'm constantly using medical abbreviations. I'll say I'm avail. E.O.W. or qam, and just other random things.

I was in the Tim Horton's drive thru and I looked at my side mirror to see the vehicle behind me. It was a huge Dodge Ram, but what I read on the side of the truck was MAR...How sad is that?!!

My husband gets so befuddled when I leave him sticky notes with nursing abbreviations.
"Honey, what's a "c" with a line over it mean?! Oh, WITH! You couldn't just write "WITH?!"
