I was just wondering why you picked your username? Is it a nickname? Is there a meaning behind it? My username "made" is the first letters from myself, my husband and my kids. It spells MADE. Molly, Asia, Dawn and Eric. Let's hear yours!

It's not that smokers take extra breaks. It's that non-smokers (some) don't take there breaks, and smokers make it a point to take our breaks. If we don't get charting done or whatever, because we feel it is our right to actually take our breaks, then it is us smokers that stay after shift to finish charting or what not. I think that if I didn't smoke, that I couldn't be a nurse. It's what defuses me, it relaxes me, I do want to quit smoking, but right now is not the right time.

Yes a letter sized envelop

Yes, a small envelop is a pass. A large one is a fail b/c it also holds info about what you need to improve on, and about rewritting....Good luck, and congrats to all who passed, and to those who were not successful this time, chin up, you will get it next time!!

The story of how I got my PASS!! My husband called me and told me that I had "a big white envelop" in the mail. I get in my car, still in my pj's, dry heaving the whole way there. (knowing that I failed, b/c of the big envelop) I get there, he hands it to me, gives me a dirty look, I walk past him and everyone else there and head outside. My husband follows after me, and tells me to open it. I am balling at this time, I tell him I can't open it, and I throw it on the ground. He picks it up, and opens it. I look up and see him taking a suduko out of the cno envelop, I'm like, what the hell!! He takes the letter out and reads, "we are pleased to announced that you have successfully completed", and I start balling even harder. That ********, opened the little white envelop, put it in a big envelop, cut the CNO info off of the original envelop and glued it on the new "big" envelop. Had someone else write my name on the fromt of the envelop so I would not recgonize his hand writting. I was so so ******. But I look up and see him crying too. It meant so much. It was a mean joke, but I must say, it was a great one.

Got mine this morning at 830am....I PASSED!!!!

I called the CNO and they said that WE will receive the results. If it is a fail, then we get the result, it is our responsibilty to let our employer know that we failed. Then they said that they will send our employer a letter telling them that our licence was revoked a few days after our results were mailed out. They also said that our names will not be removed from the CNO website until after we already receive the results in the mail. Sorry to dampen your hope. I thought I would just update you.....Still waiting here in Blenheim, Ontario

When people post that they got their results, do you mind saying where you are from...Please!!

My husband works at the post office and he just called me and said I had something from the CNO in the mail (a big envelope). I get in the car, race up there, my heart in my stomach, he hands it to me, and I smack him! It was just a magazine from the CNO. I was SO upset! He just starting laughing at me. I don't know why the CNO would send us something so not important, around the time we are waiting so inpatiently for something that will change our lives!! I am so frustrated!

I find it insulting that you say "nurses and LPNs", last I checked, RPNs and LPNs are nurses as well

I was in the Tim Horton's drive thru and I looked at my side mirror to see the vehicle behind me. It was a huge Dodge Ram, but what I read on the side of the truck was MAR...How sad is that?!!

I work at a LTC facility. One side is Retirement Living the other side is Nursing Home. Most of the time I am on NH side and it is 65 high need residents with 2 RPN's a charge RN and 4 PSW's. On the RL side there are 31 residents, 1 RPN and 1 PSW. I think alot of errors are made due to the fact that there are so many residents and not enough hands to go around. But, what are ya gonna do!!

Results could be in our hands in one week!! I am scarred ******... I honestly think I failed, but I guess everyone thinks that way after writing. I hope I pass, and the thing that sucks the most, is my husband works in the post office, sorting mail. So he will know if I pass or fail before I do. I already told him about the big and small envelop. Keep Praying!

Is going to graduation worth it? Yes I understand it was a struggle getting here, but hear me out. The thing that really bugs me is that graduation is a week before I actually get the results from my CPNRE. If it was a week after the fact, I would be like "heck yeah". Also I work the day of and after graduation, I did book it off but was denied. My husband also works. Another thing, I think the schooling was a joke. I mean, for 2.5 years, I went to school for 2 days a week. Thats it, I don't feel the program prepared us enough. I was expecting school to be 5 days a week, not 2! I just want opinions please, whether or not to attend. Another thing, there will be 11 different courses graduating at the same time with us.?

Near Windsor ON. RPN's start at $22.63. I always thought our wages sucked, until joining AL. Maybe I should be more thankful.
