Hi All
Just wondering what an average salary for an OGP nurse in the states is please? Just trying to work out how much monthly incomings and outcomings would be,
Thanks in advance

Yes in Phoenix 2 different hospitals
Thats really quite good if she's taking benefits with them, at my hospital if you don't take benefits you get an extra 17%

Thanks lol
That does look interesting i would be interested to see what kind of cover you get with that insurance policy, its not bad if your friend can get $40 per hr plus is taking the benefits i know a lot of people who make $40 hr but its usually when they've opted out of the benefits, plus probably Phoenix is better paid as has a slightly higher cost of living i'm told.
The benefits at our hospital kick in straight away too for RN'S, I was reading some of your posts that you had to pay for NCLEX materials OGP were still paying for all of that when I sat it they must have changed the contract not long after I got here, their profits must be increasing now they're charging for that and no longer flying people to the States to sit the exam.

I imagine it is different with OGP now especially after talking to somebody I know well and who has finished her contract. She was given money for groceries and was taken for a meal by her meet and greet. I believe for some nurses getting out of their contract now costs $25000. I am not working as I had a car accident.
WOW it was $8000 to get out of my contract( i didn't) can I ask are you still employed by OGP so when your medically cleared they will get you work. Its a huge thing being involved in an accident at any time but i imagine when yu've just arrived in a new country, have no idea about the healthcare system or insurance it must be really terrfiying, hope your back to your normal self soon and able to enjoy some of the benefits of being here.
A couple of the girls I came over with had money to spend on linens etc I got none of that and haven't seen my meet and greet since the day after I arrived but truthfully I was better just getting on and doing it she was a Tucsonian who'd never left the country so had no idea what it was like and was a tech so couldn't really help on the nursing side either but the office have always been helpful on the odd occasion i've needed them.
