while i invited my cohortmates to a pizza party/take my oath in a room at campus in a couple weeks i am going in tomorrow to get the paperwork, "official". it is a nice gesture of my recruiter to come and make a little ceremony out of taking the oath for me. :)

Thank you right back! Finally is right, phew was I sweating it, yes I was!

Tomorrow I sign the paperwork and my recruiter's boss told me today that after I pass NCLEX, (end of summer) I will re-commision as AD in order to go to OBC.

Hey...anyone else heard of that? I am accepted as Active Duty yet will be commisioning tomorrow and then "re-commision" before going to OBC in the fall. Am I misunderstanding this or is this how they do DEP?

Hmmm, maybe I should copy and paste that last paragraph into a new thread.

It is so cool that my recruiters are willing. Then again, it will be at the student activity center at my university campus so, that could work to their benefit as well.

Meanwhile I figure that there may be a possibility that some of my classmates are interested themselves but, not yet enough to pursue calling the recruiters just yet.

So, tomorrow I will go to become a legit Active Duty with Reserve commsion.

(is that right?)

congrats. i have been following your posts. i am also in the ancp program and am scheduled to go off to obc in august. who knows, maybe we will be there together. let us know when you find out when they have you slotted.
