MEPS Today
Finally made it to MEPS today...Friday the 13th! After two cancellations of scheduled trips, everything was finished today! Yeah! Now just await the results of the labs, etc. and my packet is ready to go. It is quite an adventure when you are "over 40"! A couple of people asked by "real" hair color and I had to keep telling them the gray is the "real" color...they didn't really want to believe that

Any one from rural AZ
Hi All I'm in the greater Sierra Vista, Bisbee area. Live halfway between the two. Also a Cochise grad...moved around and worked in a bunch of places, but always seem to come back here!

Just turned in my packet!
MEPS is sounding like more and more fun every day! :uhoh21:

Just turned in my packet!
Wow...got a call from my recruiter and I'm scheduled for MEPS next week! That seemed to happen a little fast!

Just turned in my packet!
Thank you! The quote above says it well. I too am working on the "belated" PT regime...pushups are hard! :wink2: A few weeks ago I went to a Family Day with my husband. When I looked around at the soldiers and thought about what they do, I felt I have to do my part. It's funny, I just got a call last night to restart some activities with the FRG here...nothing like keeping yourself busy! I am SO glad I found this forum...reading other posts helped me actually mail the packet out...

Just turned in my packet!
Hi, I've been lurking around here for a while and thanks to all for all the information/input I've come across. I just put in my packet with the USAR Army Nurse Corp! I'm excited but also (still) a little scared about the entire thing, but just can't NOT do it if I can. Awaiting word on what comes next...MEPS... 45 and going for this! And on top of that my husband is in the USAR and probably leaving again early next year. I just wanted to tell someone who might understand what I'm doing and why...a lot of my co-workers just don't get it.

boot camp
I'm considering the Army Nurse Corps but still have lots of questions. I have talked to a health recruiter and received some information...he's been helpful thus far. I'm curious about the two week training...seems like trying to get a lot of info in a short period of time...what do you do there? PT? What is the Army physical like? PT?
