Call the facility directly and ask for the recruitment office. Verify that the recruiter you spoke to is an actual employee.
If the person is an actual employee - yay! Check your inbox and check your spam folder.
If the person is not an actual employee - oh, crap. You just handed them enough details to steal your identity.
It took almost two weeks for human resources to call me after the recruiter told me I had the job. He told me it would be a week. One day after the week was up I called and asked him if there was any problem because I had not heard from human resources. He said he would check into it and that I should be hearing soon. Turns out they were behind because someone was on vacation.

Hello!!
I have a few questions regarding a job position i was offered:
So last week i was contacted by a recruiter who advised me that an offer letter will be sent to me, i contacted her Thursday because i hadn't heard from anyone or received anything to which she responded that my offer letter was ready and asked for my SSN and birthday( she also said I've being hired for the position) , she also gave me the start date, benefits and how i will go through a background check after signing the letter that would be e-mailed to me, but i haven't received any email yet . Should i be worried about this?
