ODU Accelerated BSN Hopefuls Fall 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi! I did not see a thread currently open for prospective students for ODU's accelerated BSN program for Fall 2016. Does anyone plan on applying? I am thinking about applying, as the deadline is quickly approaching! Also, does anyone know how long it takes to hear back on an admissions decision?

Your thread has been moved to our Nursing Programs forum. Good luck with your attempt to be admitted!

I applied!

We are a few weeks away from knowing!

I applied as well. I was wondering when we'd hear anything. I've been a nervous wreck waiting. Fingers crossed.

I was starting to wonder if anyone else had applied lol But, yes, I am a nervous wreck, as well! I was told a decision letter would be mailed out on April 1, so we should be hearing back very soon!

Have you guys applied for the traditional, accelerated, or concurrent enrollment option?

I applied for both, but I checked the "I prefer ODU program" box. What were your guy's statistics if you don't mind me asking? (Gpa, HESI) I think the websites information is very outdated.

I only applied for traditional, a decision I am kind of second guessing. I have a 3.8 GPA and a 92% on the HESI. I don't know where that falls within their guidelines for acceptance but I'm hopeful. Less than 2 weeks to wait.

Nice! Looks like we are in the same boat. I have a 3.85 and I got an 88 on the HESI. Hoping my volunteer experience is an extra push for admissions. We will probably hear back in twelve days! (If you're local)

It's going to be a long 12 days. LOL It's a little better now that I have an approximate date of when that letter should come.

I hope we can both get in! I hear that they like students who have already taken classes at ODU, and I have not taken any classes there. I hope they change that criteria :(

I hope we both get in too. I've heard the same thing about them preferring people who have taken classes st ODU. I haven't taken any there either. Hopefully our GPAs and Hesi scores are high enough. From what I've heard they're higher than the average so I think we should be good. :-)

I hope so!! If you get in are you planning on living on campus? Also, did you apply anywhere else?
